Portal Papercraft

Don't get confused, this is not a repeat of the previous Portal papercraft I posted, that one focused more on the Weighted Companion Cube. This time around it's the actual Portal itself, complete with player, portal gun, weighted cubes, and a wall with portal ends (blue and orange). It depicts the scene of what you will see when you stare on one of the portal ends (mirror effect). This cute and artful tribute is from Tubbypaws and she provides a free download of this paper model at her site.

Indiana Jones Papercraft

Indiana Jones is giving it out another try next Memorial Day (2008), entitled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Yes, the 65 year old Han Solo (aka Harrison Ford) will reprise his role as "Indy", along with his trademark fedora, bullwhip (sometimes a machete), leather jacket, and of course, his extreme fear of snakes. He'll also be accompanied by that Transformers kid (Shia LaBeouf) and two top heavyweights of Hollywood would be working their magic on this one, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Today, We've got a new one from Ninjatoes, it's an Indiana Jones papercraft model, when completed it stands a whopping 13 inches. This paper model is available for free download at Ninjatoes web site.

Tetra Pak Papercraft

It was first used to store and transport milk, now it's known globally as one of the most versatile innovations in the area of aseptic liquid food packaging, what is it? why it's the Tetra Pak (company namesake). What does it look like? well, it's that paper carton that holds your milk, orange juice (frozen or not), yogurt, chocolate drink, etc.. Many people might not have known or heard this name but I'm pretty sure you've come in contact with it on your trip to the supermaket or convenience store. In honor of this humble product, Tetra Pak Taiwan is providing this free Tetra Pak papercraft model, complete with inserted straw, for free download. There are two PDF files, one for the simple instructions and one for the pattern. Also, two download links below, one from the actual site (it's the red arrow on the bottom left corner) and the other to a free file server (just in case we eat up all the bandwith on the first one :)

World of Warcraft Papercraft

Wold of Warcraft, or WoW, as it's commonly referred to by gamers, has been one of the most successful MMORPG (Massively Muliplayer Online Role-Playing Game) and also the world's largest in terms of subscribers. I've been a fan of RPG video games since the 80's and still keep up with it today, although not as much - I try to stick with the traditional single player RPG. I first played WoW back in 2005 and easily got addicted to it (like everybody else at that time), but with my work, bills to pay, making/posting paper craft, there just wasn't enough time to include it in my day-to-day activities. Not to mention the extra $15 a month subscriber fee, which can add up pretty quickly while you are contemplating your next move for those world of warcraft gold. Those where my WoW days, now I'm pretty much with the XBL $40/year crowd.

Whether your a hardcore fan, just a casual gamer, or a World of warcraft gold farmer, you can take WoW's scenery, people, building, weapons, and other inhabitants with you offline, with these unnoficial World of Warcraft paper model.

Portal Papercraft - Weighted Companion Cube

Aah Portal, Valve's puzzle video game which runs in a first-person/single-player mode. It was released together with Half Life 2 (B.G.E) and Team Fortress as a bundled package called the "The Orange Box", which just came out a few days ago for the Xbox 360 and PC. In the game, you play a character named Chell who is a test subject in a certain science facility. Your basically there to test out the "portal gun" in solving puzzles, for those of you who have no idea or have never heard of what I'm talking about, head on to the links below to try out a Flash-based game that shows what Portal is all about.

Further on through the game, in of the test chambers, you'll be introduced to the Weighted Companion Cube... you'll feel something for it... you'll do something to it...(I'll stop here with regards to the story because I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't played it yet) A person that goes by the alias Moony created this wondeful cube. Thanks!

Mewtwo Papercraft

Part three of three. We've been having an abundant Pokemon posts in the past couple of weeks and I think one more wouldn't hurt. This is the last paper model for the Jupiter Corp. Pokemon set of three. In case any of you missed it, there was this Slowpoke, then Jynx, and now we've got the Mewtwo (ミュウツー, Myūtsū) paper craft model. It's #150 on the Pokedex and considered to be a psychic type Pokemon that uses the ability "Pressure".

Mewtwo is an enhanced clone version of another Pokemon, Mew (#151), to whom it derives its name. Whenever I see this Pokemon it reminds me of DBZ's Freeza. They look like distant relatives. Maybe it's the color?

Yup, I think that's it.

On a side note, seeing that majority of you don't like the "counter" or the "wait" from rapidshare and megaupload, I've decided to switch to MediaFire file hosting. It was recently suggested by a commenter on one of my posts, so I immediately tried it out and I can say that it's a lot better. There's no counter, you don't have to wait anymore to get to the download part and it has a very user friendly interface. What do you guys think?

Jynx Papercraft

Today we've got part two of three from the Jupiter Corp. Pokemon paper model set, in case you missed the first one (Slowpoke), go check it out here. This time we've got a Jynx (ルージュラ) papercraft model - #124 on the Pokedex. It's humanoid-type Pokemon that has ice/psychic abilities and evolved from a Smoochum. At first glance, It looks like Bert Williams on drag one of those blackface characters or from one of those Sambo cartoons from the early 1900's, but it's not. Have fun and go get 'em.

Slowpoke Papercraft

I've received a lot of praises for the previous Pokemon posts, but even more was the request for it. So, I guess I'll post the rest of what I have in the following days to come. But today, we have Slowpoke (ヤドン Yadon), number 79 on the Pokedex (ポケモン図鑑 Pokemon Zukan), it got it's name from the same word which is used to call a person who is extremely lazy or being a plodder/trudger. Or you could also look at it as a combination of the words slow and Pokemon. There's really nothing much to say about it's abilities, as it's name says it all. It is however, describe as a water type/base Pokemon that excels at fishing with the use of it's tail.

Sadly, this is not a Chokipeta papercraft, but a good one nonetheless. It was released by the Jupiter Corporation (Japan) from their Magic Craft series of papercrafts which includes Pokemon (sets of 3), Hamtaro, Kirby, and many more.

Charmander Papercraft

Another day, another Pokemon papercraft. This time it's a Charmander (ヒトカゲ Hitokage) papercraft / paper model. It's a fire-type Pokemon that resembles a biped-salamander? with a very prominent feature, it's got a flame burning on the tip of it's tail. It's main ability on the game is called Blaze (もうか Raging Flames), which powers up fire-type moves. It also does physical attacks with the use of its sharp claws (Slash).

The Charmander papercraft pattern is in PDF format, has two pages, and comes in a measly 208 kb, although the scan is a bit on the rough side, you can adjust your print settings to enlarge it a bit so you can easily see the cut and fold lines. Produced by Chokipeta.

Check out the other Pokemon characters and Chokipeta creations that I've posted in the past by going to the links below.

Final Fantasy X Papercraft - Auron

Check it out, new one from Ninjatoes, much like the previous Final Fantasy papercraft (Rikku) from their site, we now have Auron from the Final Fantasy X video game.

" Auron
(アーロン Āron) is a playable, fictional character in the Squaresoft (now known as Square Enix) role-playing game Final Fantasy X. He is known in the world of Spira as a "legendary guardian" due to the belief that he was the only guardian known to have survived the process of defeating the creature named Sin. His sword, though called a katana, actually appears to more closely resemble a nodachi or even the fictional zanbatō. Auron's attacks are heavily based on the "Samurai" job class from previous Final Fantasy games, particularly his ability to break through his opponents' defences. This is also seen as a Knight skill in Final Fantasy Tactics." - wikipedia

So head on to Ninjatoes site and start building.
