The Shoebill (aka Whalehead) is a very large, long-legged bird that gets its name from its gigantic shoe-shaped beak/bill.
It's similar in appearance to the stork and makes its home in the swamp lands of east Africa. Shoebills can grow as high as 5 feet tall, weigh as much as 16 lbs., and have a wingspan that stretches over 8 feet.
This is another fine example of good quality organic (curvilinear shape) papercraft replica by Japanese designer Ikuo Anazawa.
