SpongeBob Squarepants

Here's an easy one for the kiddos, a SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick Star paper model. These paper models are provided by Nickelodeon.nl (Dutch) for free download at their site. It comes in a single PDF file with two pages, I've also provided another link thru rapidshare.de for those who can't read Dutch. I can't say much about them (except that their very popular with the kids) because I've never seen the show, so here's a link if you want to know more about them.

Sonic the Hedgehog Papercraft

E3 is underway and Sony has finally announced a worldwide launch date (Nov. 17) and pricing ($499 & $599) for its upcoming Playstation 3 video game console. As with the release of the PS3, Sega is also in the works for a brand new Sonic title that will take advantage of these next gen systems, so while we are waiting for it, here is a Sonic the Hedgehog papercraft from the Sega Sonicteam that you might wanna try. This paper model is no longer available for download at the Sonicteam web site so I've uploaded it to a free file server for your convenience. The files are in JPG format with three parts for the pattern, one for the instructions, and are zipped. Enjoy!

Legend of Zelda Papercraft - Four Swords Link

For video gamers E3 is on the of the most anticipated yearly gaming convention comprised of the computer and video game industry. This is the time of year when video game developers show off their games and other game-related hardware. E3 2006 is just a few days away (May 10 -12, Los Angeles Convention Center), and to get things rolling here is the Legend of Zelda papercraft - Four Swords Link.

This paper model is the official Nintendo release back in 2004 via the "Famitsu Cube and Advance" magazine. It's out of print now and only a handful can be found on the net (eBay?). It was created by Chokipeta and commisioned by Nintendo, as you might remember Chokipeta is also the one that created the Shigaraki racoon dog paper model. The files are in PDF format, two for the pattern, one for the instructions and zipped. So without further ado...

Shadow the Hedgehog Papercraft

Now comes the second part to end E3 week, here is a paper model of Shadow the Hedgehog. To those who don't know much about Shadow, he is the rude, arrogant, destructive, and ultra-violent adversary to Sonic. Although that was the intention of his creator Yuji Uekawa, they softened up Shadows image when they brought him here to the US to show acceptability for a younger audience. One of Shadow's trademark move is the Chaos Control, in it, he is able to warp time and space and thereby allow himself to teleport in great distances. Shadow also has an alter-ego known as Super Shadow, in which he transform himself into a faster, stronger, and nearly invincible Shadow, but in a lemon-cream color instead of his usual black. Once again, the paper model was created by the Sega Sonicteam, the files are in JPG format and is zipped.

Harvest Moon Papercraft - Dog

This is the second part from bokumono.com, it is a basic paper model of a farm dog. Again this is from the Harvest Moon Series of video games and was created by Keicraft. You can look here for the first part of this paper model series (which was a cow). The paper model layout is in PDF format and comes with instructions.

Harvest Moon Papercraft - Cow

We've got a new cute paper model of an "ushi" (Japanese for cow) from bokumono.com, this is the site of a very popular "farming" video game in Japan known here in the US as Harvest Moon. For those not familiar with this game, it is a simulation of how to run a farm, from breeding cows to planting crops and everything in between. For more information about the game check out the links below. This paper model is in PDF format and is pretty basic so beginners would have an easy time building it, once again this was created by the very skilled people at Keicraft.

Klonoa Papercraft (including Moo)

It's a cold and lazy day today in Webster, and to get ourselves busy here's a paper model of Klonoa and Moo, if you are not familiar with that name/game, Klonoa is an anthropomorpic videogame character created by the Japanese game developer Namco, for the Sony Playstation video console back in 1998. For those of you who don't follow videogame history, Namco is also the creator of the very famous and successful franchise/videogame character, Pacman. As reference to this you can see a Pacman logo on the side of Klonoa's trademark blue-backwards cap.

The other character is Moo - he is one of the most common enemies you'll find in Klonoa the videogame, much like the ShyGuys and Goombas of the Mario Brothers franchise.

The paper model is easy to build, it took me about an hour to finish both of them. Klonoa is about 7 1/2" tall, and Moo is 4" tall. The files are in PDF format, hosted by Namco China and you can find them here:

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Link Papercraft - Complete

Remember Chokipeta's Four Swords Link? well there's more... Ok, not really Chokipeta, but a creative individual has edited Chokipeta's original pattern and created three more Link papercraft (red, purple, blue) just like in the Hyrulean Adventure video game, now we can truly call it Four Swords. As you can see on the picture, Red Link holds what looks like a Fire Rod, Purple Link is holding a bunch of Rupees, and Blue link is holding a bomb. The original Chokipeta pattern is intact so there's no question on how good it is, there are a few additions to it which comes in the form of new textures and parts and they seem to blend very well, it's a nice complement to the original. You can spot the new parts easily by looking at the outlines, they're the ones with the darker tones.

Notice the seven and fish symbol? it's the same one on the Princess Crown papercraft posted a few weeks ago. I didn't know it back then but apparently the symbol is from the editing designer - he/she goes by the alias ichtus7 and can be found on the Spanish-based site Elotrolado. For my non-Spanish speaking readers a direct download link is available below via Mediafire. Thanks to our reader Manuel for sending in the photos, patterns, and pointing us to the right direction.

Chromehounds Papercraft - Chokipeta

These Chokipeta Chromehounds papercraft might be old but it still kicks ass. It came out a few months after I started this blog back in 2006, I knew about it then but for some reason I forgot do a post on it. It was based on a video game of the same name and for the Xbox 360 console and was first released in Japan on June 2006. These Chromehounds papercrafts include three mechs: Morskoj, Sal Kar, and Tarakia. Each mech represents a fictional nation that make up the Neroimus region (where the game takes place). This is classic ChokipetaKOBO work, clean lines, well planned out pattern, and great instructions. Free download is still available at the official Chromehounds Japan web site.

Gurren Lagann Mecha Papercraft

Anime fans must be having a blast, we've had two great posts within this week that includes the Super Robot/Mecha paper models and yesterdays' Full Metal Alchemist. Today we've got the Gurren Lagann mecha papercraft from a blog called Krauzer's Papercraft Mansion. The complete title is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (天元突破グレンラガン), it's a somewhat new Japanese anime TV series by Gainax and Konami. I haven't seen an episode of this in the US (I'm always late), but from the pics I saw on it's official site and some online videos, it looks promising. You can check out the links below to see some photos from the papercraft designer's blog on how he designed and built the pattern.

Grand Theft Auto Papercraft - Vice City

I can't believe this got lost on my inbox, here's a brand new papercraft tribute from Tubbypaws released a few days ago. This time it's Tommy Vercetti with his Hawaiian shirt, circa 1986. This Grand Theft Auto papercraft has the cute Tubbypaws trademark "all-content-fit-in-one-page" pattern so you don't have to worry about your ink. Follow the links below for the free download.

Full Metal Alchemist Papercraft

Some great looking anime papercrafts from designer Murzkine. This is on my list of all time favorite animes and I've watched every single one of its 51 TV series episode except for the movie sequel Conqueror of Shamballa, but before all that, it was the great manga series created by Hiromu Arakawa. These Full Metal Alchemist papercraft includes the two main characters, brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric. It's a hako-type (box) paper model, the pattern is quite solid and the designs on the face are dead on.

Team Fortress 2 Papercraft

Just received an e-mail about some interesting stuff happening over at our friend Guillermo's place, something about a Team Fortress papercraft. Let's go find out.

From the looks of it they've got three Team Fortress papercrafts available so far, it includes the Heavy, Pyro, and the Spy. You can see from the sample photo above (Spy) on what the finished model would look like. As mentioned on their site, I would like to point out that the low-poly 3D models were created by digital artist Tom Tallian. And a job well done to Guillermo for creating the papercraft patterns.
